This week the brothers of the vlogosphere duke it out the only way we know how -- by videoblogging. Watch as Steve Woolf dishes out the rules. Speaking of which, here they are in printed form for all to absorb:
  • A dramatic monologue (absolutely no comedy)
  • No cuts or edits in the final piece
  • 30-60 seconds
  • Monologue MUST be a period piece (Shakespeare, Edwardian, whatev)
  • Props are optional

ok, let me understand.

monologue...original? Classical?

Yes. Dramatic monologues set in a period prior to the 20th century. Classical is within the rules. I think I'll post the rules in detail under the video so everyone is crystal on the Brothers' Challenge for Vlog Deathmatch #1.

Btw, the monlogues can be original, but it's fine to use monologues from a play, passages from a poem or a book -- Shakespeare, Dostoevsky, Shaw, Wilde, Dickens, etc.
